Foodventure - Xenri D'Garden Terrace (Menara Hap Seng)

I know I've been doing a lot of jap restaurant reviews, but it's cuz I L.O.V.E jap food. Can't help it =p

So this time, it's jap buffet at Xenri D'Garden Terrace.
Xenri has two branches, one at menara Hap Seng (the garden one) and one at old klang road (the river one) so I'm saving the old klang road branch for another day :)

Check out their spread...

Their sushi was nicely arranged on a wooden boat. Loved the presentation.

And there were so many different types of sushi! Most of it were quite nice :) Except the Inari, which tasted wierd.

I can't remember the name of the dish below but it was yummehh.... Fruit salad with prawns and snow crab meat.

This is their four sashimi sushi, quite yummy also and I thought it looked really nice.

And of course, all jap buffets must have... ROCK OYSTERS! Xenri serves it in two forms, fresh and cheese baked :)

This was probably my fave of the night though, braised wagyu beef. It was DA BOMB. Taste and texture also good :) 3 of us took a total of 5 bowls of this.

They also served a few types of noodly thingies, one of it was cha soba, which was wayyyy better than the one I had at Sakae Sushi.

Also, they served both chicken and beef sukiyaki, and I opted for the latter. You can choose the ingredients you want in your sukiyaki and the chef there will cook it for you. They have mushrooms, a few types of meat, vegetables and some meat ball thingies to choose from.

We obviously enjoyed our food.

Even went for two bowls of ice-cream after that. Green tea and Yam flavour :) They have 6 different flavours of ice-cream and jelly, and many different fruits, pastries and cakes in their dessert section. Not fantastic in terms of taste though, I only liked my ice-cream and the grape flavoured konyaku jelly.

Once you're done with dinner, do go for a walk in the garden. The place is very pwetty ;)

See for yourself, exhibit A:

And presenting... the KL tower! Good view of it from the garden.
